Edenderry v Longford

On Saturday morning the 31st October Edenderry's Under 13 team travelled to Longford for a friendly fixture. The conditions were good with good autumn sunshine.

First to score were Edenderry with a try from Edenderry scored by Stephen Gill, this was followed by a Penalty in front of the posts which was converted by Stephen Gill. Longford replied shortly after with a converted try leaving the score at half time 8 to 7 in Edenderry's favour.

A rejuvenated Longford came out in the second half and kept Edenderry in there own half and looked like that they would score first however this was not the case with good communication between forwards and backs. Jonathan Moore scored a great try after this a further try came from Daniel Corr converted by Erick Clancy. Longford managed to get back into Edenderry's 22 and after applying great pressure were rewarded with a try which was converted, from the restart Edenderry were quick to reply with a try from Stephen Gill followed quickly by another try from Daniel Corr which was converted by Stephen Gill shortly before full time Edenderry added another try from David Moloney Leaving the final score 37 to 14.

The next match for Edenderry U13 team is in the Midland League at home against Tullmore on the 7th of November KO 11am
